6,700 Rohingya killed and 69 % shot in one month

More than 6,700 Rohingya Muslims have been killed in Myanmar Massacre in the first month of repressive action started in August (Rakhine state).  The figures released on Thursday by the humanitarian agency. At least 730 children under the age of five were shot, burned or beaten to death in Rakhine state. As per the Medical Director of MSF “The numbers of deaths are likely to be an underestimation, as we have not surveyed all refugee settlements in Bangladesh and because the surveys don’t account for the families who never made it out of Myanmar".

Since August more than 640,000 Rohingya moved from Rakhine. Police, soldier and local militants burned their village and gang-raped women and children as well as slaughtering civilians. Many western countries and United Nation have condemned this massacre as ethnic violence.
As per International media worst violence occurred in Tula Toli village in Maungdaw township, where residents were rounded up and shot dead. Media says, 69 percent were shot, while others were burned and beaten to death.
